Canareef Resort Maldives

We loved everything about our experience there, beautiful and calm place, good value for money, staff very welcoming and professional, nice facilities, fantastic landscape. Big thanks to everyone working at Canareef Resort for the great vacation we had!

We finally came to our senses after our vacation and want to say a big thank you to your hotel! The staff is very attentive and tactful: as soon as you enter the Doha bar, the waiter asks: "Two tequila sunrise"?) We really liked the excursions with Didi and his guys: we saw 3 sharks, 2 turtles, 1 stingray, dolphins and lots and lots of fish. Didi also took pictures of us. And his partner (a young guy who also does snorkeling) made a turtle swim to us) The cooks at the buffet cook very tasty. Although not all the dishes were familiar to us, the new cuisine was simply magnificent. Chicken spicy soup or tomato soup - just 😻 Shawarma was also very tasty❤️ The waiters were also wonderful during the buffet. Someone even spoke a little Russian. I would also like to mention the cleaners. We never saw them. But the room was always clean and the water was changed. I would also like to mention the man who teaches yoga! I really liked the morning yoga. And the trainer is a real professional! It was worth waking up early for that. The masseurs are also great! In an hour of massage, it seems like you've rested for a week. I would also like to mention the bartender and cashier at Baracuda. ​​ Very nice workers. They always warned us about the latest bugs and poured delicious cocktails. I would also like to mention Nazir. He answered our questions and answered the phone at 6 am when we were at the airport during our check-out from the hotel. We would really like to come back! Because the people who work there are very memorable ♥️ The service is just great!

I enjoyed my stay at the Canareef Resort, because it is a very scenic place with a little of facilities to enjoy. The free Manager's cocktail party once a week was appreciated. All accommodation is in private villas with outdoor bathrooms and showers and I liked the layout and privacy that the villa enabled. It had a dressing area and terrace as well as a bedroom and bathroom. The beaches were all beautiful and clean, and there was no pressure on finding sunbeds or privacy. I found plenty of sunbeds and did not need to be near people. I opted for the all-inclusive holiday so that I would not need to worry about adding costs for food and drink. However, here is my only gripe: the drinks must have been either watered down or with minimal alcohol content as it was impossible to taste alcohol or feel any of the usual effects- unless drinking a neat spirit. This is the only thing that would make me wonder whether to stay again at this resort. Otherwise, everything was great. The staff were all very nice and helpful, plenty of food was on offer, and I particularly enjoyed the speedboat transfer and the impressive welcome upon arrival, which felt like a luxury touch. For my holiday, the transfer was not included, so I paid extra for this, and was glad I did for many reasons- such as convenience, efficiency and enjoyment. To arrange the transfer, the staff at the resort responded very promptly and efficiently to my WhatsApp queries. I also very much enjoyed the free bicycle hire, which helped a lot in getting around the island. This also enabled me to visit the locals' part of the island, which is across a bridge from the resort. Here, it is possible to see where the real people live. If I can live with very weak alcoholic drinks, I will consider coming again. I think the drinks should be of the usual international standard for alcoholic content and quality- Otherwise, don't offer this option.
